Treat people well

Be respectful in messages, listings and reviews. No harassment, threats, discrimination, or impersonating anyone else. Meeting a stranger to hand over food only works if everyone behaves decently.

Describe food honestly

Photos should show the food as it is now. Dates, condition, allergens and storage information need to be accurate. Don't describe food as organic, home-grown or sealed unless it is.

Don't list unsafe or prohibited food

No food past its use-by date, nothing opened or part-used, nothing already served, no cut or processed produce, no recalled products, and no home-prepared food unless COOKIT has verified you as a food provider.

No fraud or Fresh Points manipulation

Don't create fake listings or claims, confirm a collection that didn't happen, arrange exchanges with yourself, or use extra accounts to get around limits. Fresh Points only move through real exchanges.

Respect privacy and meet safely

Don't share another member's address, photos or messages. Public pickup spots are always a reasonable choice. Share your address only with the member collecting, and only if you want to.

Reporting and blocking

You can report a listing, an exchange or a member, and block anyone. Reports are read by COOKIT — tell us what happened and attach a photo if it helps.

Moderation and appeals

We may remove content, restrict listings or limit accounts to keep members safe or to comply with the law. Where we can, we'll tell you why and give you a way to appeal the decision.
